Job Summary
The Head Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all pool patrons while providing excellent guest services. This leadership role involves supervising lifeguard staff, maintaining pool facilities, and enforcing safety regulations. The Head Lifeguard will also be involved in training new lifeguards and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed diligently.
Duties
- Supervise and manage lifeguard staff to ensure a safe swimming environment.
- Conduct regular pool maintenance, cleaning and chemical testing to maintain water quality and hygiene.
- Monitor pool activities, enforce rules, and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring prompt response to any incidents.
- Assist with guest services by addressing inquiries and providing information about pool facilities.
- Train new lifeguards in safety procedures, emergency response, and customer service skills.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for equipment setup and maintenance tasks.
Skills
- Proficient in pool maintenance practices, including water testing and chemical balancing.
- Certified in Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR, with the ability to respond effectively in emergencies.
- Experience in pool cleaning techniques to ensure a safe swimming environment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting related to equipment handling and maintenance.
- Strong swimming skills with the capability to rescue individuals in distress.
- Excellent communication skills for effective guest interaction and team leadership.
- Previous experience as a lifeguard is preferred, demonstrating a commitment to safety and service.
