RESPONSIBILITIES
Roofers work at each property on repairing pre-constructed roofs which may have leaks or other issues. This position requires team members to work carefully and diligently using items such as tar, asphalt, shingles, and materials such as gravel, metal, rubber, insulation, and other roofing products. Roofers must take extra preventative measures to make sure that all products are properly adhered to the roof to safeguard against future leaks. Due to the nature of this job, Roofers must work taking an increased level of safety precautions, and may be required to wear a harness and boots.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Must complete work orders at each community to repair roofs which may have leaks or other issues.
· Must be familiar with working with roofing products such as tar, asphalt, shingles, and materials such as gravel, metal, rubber, insulation and other roofing products.
· Must take extra preventative measures to ensure that all products are properly adhered to the roof to safeguard against future leaks.
· Must understand up to date building code regulations, safety regulations and company policies.
· Must be able to communicate effectively with community staff and provide outstanding customer service.
· Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support team and organizational objectives, as directed by your Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
· High school education or equivalent.
· 1 or more years of experience as a roofer.
· Roofing/carpentry skills and Safety Regulations training.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Heavy physical lifting & activity.
· Must be able to move up to 85 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Mostly outdoor environment.
*Must adhere to company no cell phone/texting policy when traveling by car.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
