What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lieutenant Of Security position at United Protection Security Service?
Role and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the Lieutenant of Security consist of but are not limited to the following:
- Act as Direct Supervisor of Sergeant of Security
- Supervises Security Officers
- Ensures Officers are appropriately in accordance with UPSS Policies and Procedures
- Respond to any emergency
- Examine routine reports prepared by other Officers
- May be asked to participate in interviews for potential hires
- Ensure all sites have the required proper equipment necessary
- Council, Coach, & Mentor other Officers
- Prepare monthly interim reports for ADMIN regarding sites and fellow Officers
- Lieutenant is required to cover shifts due to call outs and lateness of Officers (may arrange with CAPTAIN of Security)
- Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain will rotate PM radio calls response
- MUST Attend ALL ADMIN meetings as required
- Make recommendations based on Operations
- Pop ups should be approved by CAPTAIN of Security
- Must remain in communication with SERGEANT of Security and relay any concerns to CAPTAIN
- Any disciplinary action and/or write ups against an Officer must be approved by CAPTAIN of Security
- Must always conduct themselves in a professional and non-discriminatory manner no matter the circumstance
- Must Follow Chain of Command: SERGEANT, LIEUTENANT, CAPTAIN
- Must abide by Policy and Procedures of UPSS
