What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Planner-Manager position at United Real Estate?
United Real Estate, a fast-growing brokerage real estate model, has a great opportunity for an Event Planner reporting to the Director of Network Operations. This position centers on planning and executing major events and conferences for brokers, real estate agents and other groups that are part of United Real Estate.
Main Responsibilities include:
- Establishing working relationships with vendors and venues at various locations nationwide.
- Researching and recommending cities and new venues to create a high energy, memorable and motivational event.
- Assisting with creating event proposals which fit event requirements, considering financial and time restraints, and presenting proposals by deadline.
- Performing research to gain a deep understanding of different requirements and details of each event.
- Executing event details including event promotion, registration, food selection, seating charts, speaker recommendations and overall event organization.
- Working with all venue staff, including the culinary group, to ensure that the event provides a memorable experience for all guests.
- Remain aware of current industry trends regarding conference locations, activities, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Skills and Experience You will Bring
- 5 years in a hospitality role, such as hotel event planning, culinary background, or food service.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred in event space planning, hotel/restaurant management or culinary arts.
- Strong people skills to accomplish a wide range of tasks in a teamwork environment.
- Ability to forecast event expenses and adhere to an assigned budget.
- Sees the big picture, while understanding how critical details can make all the difference.
- Foresight to anticipate roadblocks or problems and quickly make adjustments.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills while maintaining discretion is key.
- Technology savvy with MS Office and Zoom.
- An ability to exhibit a high degree of poise under deadlines.
- Advanced organizational skills will be needed to stay proactive and prepared, as well as maintaining a professional demeanor to positively represent the company.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $75,000.00 per year
