Site Security Manager (Full Time)
United Security Services, Inc., a national security company, which is owned and operated by retired law enforcement personnel, is seeking a professional full-time Site Security Manager for a prestigious location in downtown Portland, Oregon.
Requirements:
- Law Enforcement experience, Military experience, Certified Protection Officer (CPO) or
4-year degree.
- Exceptional customer service skills and excellent judgement.
- Excellent communication and people skills and strong organizational skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Portland culture, communities, and dynamics (to include surrounding area).
- Proficient in interacting, communicating, and working jointly with management staff.
- Effective in managing, leading and training a team of professional security officers in a premium hospitality setting.
- Exceptional coach and mentor of security personnel.
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of criminal law.
- Must possess, or can acquire by time of employment, a DPSST Unarmed Professional & Alarm Monitor Professional certifications and possess or qualified to obtain Supervisory and/or Executive Manager license as outlined and required by DPSST. Additionally, must possess or obtain a CPR certification.
- Availability and flexibility to work any day, including weekends and holidays, and any work shift based on the operational needs of the client.
- Proven track record of collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred:
- At least 5 years of law enforcement experience with a federal, state, or local agency based in the Oregon/Washington area and/or 10 years of security experience with at least 5 years of management /supervisory experience.
- Knowledgeable in the key aspects of private security including, but not limited to: Handling security tasks, responding to emergencies, preparing, and reviewing incident reports, reviewing CCTV footage, progressive discipline, coaching and mentoring, training, evaluations, etc.
- Experience with leading a 24/7 operation.
- Ability to prepare security work schedules, review timesheets, billing & invoicing, and manage general administrative matters.
- Policy, Procedure and Post Order development.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn security software applications,
- Possess a working knowledge of the hospitality industry and the related nomenclature.
The annual salary range to start is $81,000 - $83,200.
Target start date: February 1-15, 2025
