Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team at Unites Service Technologies, a Tech24 company, and leading commercial kitchen equipment repair company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory records, and maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, ensuring they match purchase orders and meet quality standards.
- Unload and store materials, parts, and equipment in the appropriate locations within the warehouse.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments for delivery, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock organization, inventory counts, and reordering parts and equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, returns, and deliveries using company software and filing systems.
- Coordinate with the repair and service teams to ensure the timely delivery of parts and equipment for ongoing projects.
- Manage the receipt of returned equipment, including inspection and documentation of any issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies regarding storage and handling of materials.
- Collaborate with vendors, customers, and internal departments to address shipping or receiving concerns.
- Assist with general warehouse maintenance, keeping the work environment organized and clean.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse role, preferably in the commercial kitchen or equipment repair industry.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and shipping/receiving processes.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Proficiency with inventory management software or willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
- Forklift certification (preferred, or willing to obtain).
