Peer Recovery Specialist- Crisis Response Services (CRS) Program

Location: Mansfield & Dayville, CT
Located Position is located 30 minutes from Providence, RI – Worcester, MA – Willimantic, CT – New London, CT

Peer Recovery Specialist-CRS Program

United Services has an exciting opportunity for a Peer Recovery Specialist for the CRS Program. The right candidate will be part of a collaborative team, coordinating care with providers and case managers to meet individuals where they are and enhance their recovery and wellness. The Peer Recovery Specialist will bring the peer perspective and experience to support and inspire others to achieve person-driven and self-defined achievable goals. Critical functions of the job include assisting in follow-up with medical care, promoting involvement with wellness and health promotion activities, including self-help, and modeling successful recovery strategies.

Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening or weekend coverage may be required.

Peer Recovery Specialist Minimum Requirements: Associates Degree or High School Diploma/equivalent plus two years relevant experience required.

*** This position requires certification as a Recovery Specialist/Recovery Coach through Advocacy Unlimited RSS Training, CCAR-Recovery Coach Training or Hartford Healthcare's Recovery Leadership Academy.

United Services will provide the opportunity to obtain this certification while employed.

Reliable transportation and ability to transport clients in own car is a must. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Peer Recovery Specialist Salary Range:

  • $16.44 - $18.60 per hour depending on experience
  • $17.27 - $19.54 per hour for Bilingual Spanish fluency
