What are the responsibilities and job description for the IPEC Technician - Brazoria County position at United Shutdown Safety Texas Inc?
As a IPEC Technician at United Safety, you serve as the final step in the company's quality control service by ensuring that the equipment is properly prepared and packaged prior to its use by the client or contractor personnel. The Turnaround Technician will be responsible for the following:
- Provide daily equipment rental service for breathing air systems, gas monitors and radios.
- The cleanliness, care, maintenance, distribution & inventory management of equipment to support the needs of United Safety and our clients.
- Manage equipment that is shipped from or received to a job location, and supplies within the job.
- Tracking the allocation of the equipment and ensuring that information on any damage identified as the equipment is returned is properly reported to site leadership.
Requirements / Competencies
- Must be comfortable with operating a laptop and browser-based application. Having an electronics or mechanical background is an asset.
- A customer service attitude, as you will be interacting with the client.
- Team player, proactive, able to work in a high stress environment, and adaptable to different situations.
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- A Minimum of 6 months of oil and gas, industrial or construction experience.
- TWIC card and Basic plus
- Must be able to pass a physical, pre-employment hair follicle drug screen, alcohol test, and a background check.
- Work 12 hour shifts (days/nights) in a refinery environment
- Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs, climb stairs and ladders, work at heights
- Must successfully complete training before traveling to the job site.
- Tavel to job sites out of state - Per-diem paid for those who qualify.
- Have Reliable transportation to and from site.

Salary : $30,300 - $38,400
