What are the responsibilities and job description for the Timekeeper position at United Shutdown Safety (Texas), Inc?
Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of tasks related to the maintenance/processing of payroll and invoicing and occasionally assist with the tracking and forecasting of costs related to individual projects
- Must be willing to travel to jobsites for work 100 % of the time, in the Gulf Coast and Mid-West regions
- Process employee Time & Attendance data from the Time system to payroll and reconcile variances utilizing tools in Track and other payroll system
- Create or print a variety of payroll reports on demand
- Some jobs may require job costing or billing functions
Qualifications:
- Highly proficient using keyboard computer entry functions required
- In-depth understanding of the Viewpoint and Time and Attendance Payroll Database and advanced ability to use their functionality
- Strong computer background, including proficiency with MS Office
- Extensive knowledge of Excel (including complex functions, linking spreadsheets, etc.) required
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of sometimes stressful situations
- Valid state issued drivers license
- Applicants must have a strong work ethic allowing for long hours at industrial construction sites
- Applicants must be willing to travel within the Gulf Coast Region for 4 to 6 weeks at a time
- Good communications skills and ability to work with a diverse team of people
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment and accept supervision
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required
