To effectively serve the Department of Athletics and assist the Head Women's Soccer Coach by performing administrative roles and responsibilities that will help effectively manage the day-to-day operations of a Division I women's soccer program. The success of the program will be evaluated overall success (conference championships and NCAA tournament appearances), recruiting, retention and graduating student-athletes and community service.
This position represents the second level of command structure after the head coach and is the primary recruiter.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist the Head Women's Soccer Coach with all aspects of the program including recruiting, official and unofficial visits, practice planning, game preparation and scouting, team video breakdown and analysis, video exchange, travel, academic compliance and monitoring, NCAA, Conference and University rules compliance, and community service.
- Teach and educate student-athletes in the fundamentals, techniques and game strategies for soccer.
- Comply with all University, New York State policies and procedures related to budgeting, procurement, expenditures and reimbursements.
- Annually attend the mandatory sexual violence prevention program as required by federal, state, SUNY and University policies and procedures prior to or at the beginning of the academic year.
