Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wound care and be passionate about delivering patient-centered care in a mobile healthcare environment. This role involves traveling to various healthcare facilities and patient homes to provide wound assessments, treatment planning, debridement, and follow-up care, ensuring the highest standards of wound management are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive wound assessments, including the evaluation of wound etiology, depth, and stage, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Perform wound debridement as necessary, utilizing appropriate techniques to promote optimal healing.
- Implement and manage advanced wound care treatments, including the application of skin substitutes, negative pressure wound therapy, and other specialized wound care modalities.
- Collaborate with the supervising Medical Director, Nurse Practitioners (NPs), and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on wound care techniques and best practices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with the latest advancements in wound care.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards during all patient interactions.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Utah.
- Certification in wound care (WOCN, CWOCN, or equivalent) is highly preferred, or willingness to obtain one in the next 60 days.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, with a strong focus on wound care, dermatology, or a related field.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule, including travel to various healthcare facilities and patient homes.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
