Sr Graphic Designer

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Primary responsibilities of this role include support of the department’s digital and traditional marketing materials creation, working in conjunction with our agency partners and creating and owning design for certain projects, creating elements that communicate the brand and product specific positioning and messaging as outlined in the creative brief or articulated by the Marketing or Product Brand Managers.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Graphic Design:
•    Maintain brand standardization across all marketing materials- ensure integration of campaigns and communication messages
•    Design materials for e-commerce and digital marketing efforts
•    Design and develop various collateral such as catalogs, sell sheets, POS, Packaging, brand stationary, stickers, folders, promotional items, etc.
•    Revise current files where assets/files are readily available  
•    Edit digital and print ads with new creative and finalize files that have been outsourced
•    Collaborate with and mentor Graphic Designers on various concepts and approvals
•    Present creative concepts to Senior leadership team (digitally)
•    Make packaging updates as needed 
•    Create mock-ups for client presentation/marketing presentation decks
•    Review creative assets developed by design team 
•    Oversee brand standards across all creative applications and uses  
 

POSITION SPECIFICS:
•    This is a full-time position
•    Typical work hours and days are Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  
•    Less than 10% travel is expected for this position 
•    This position is based in Fountain Valley, CA office
•    This position requires in-office attendance at least 3 days per week (subject to increase in future)

PAY TRANSPARENCY

• The Company is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
• The salary range for this role in Fountain Valley, CA is $75,000 - $90,000.
• In addition, you may be eligible for additional compensation, such as a bonus. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including health & wellness benefits, retirement, time off, employee discounts, and others.
   

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:
Graphic Design degree or equivalent experience

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years graphic design experience within a corporation’s marketing/creative department and/or an advertising agency.  Specific experience in ad, catalog, packaging and POS design and layouts.  Demonstrated ability of e-com and digital ad design, both static and animated. 3D and Motion design skills a huge plus, specifically rendering 3-D objects in Cinema 4D, and or Blender, After Effects and Premiere for video content.

•    Strong time management skills, independent self-starter.  Ability to work in a very fast paced environment with limited resources. Comfortable working with           significant complexity and ambiguity while under challenging deadlines. 
•    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multi-task on different projects with different requirements.  Ability to set clear goals and                       quantitatively measure them
•    Knowledge of general business, marketing and advertising principles/practices
•    Skilled at thinking outside of the box and pushing the boundaries, while understanding and acknowledging each brands specific guidelines 
•    Strong customer service focus
•    Willingness to work on multiple projects across multiple mediums for different brands per day 
•    Must have the ability to represent the company's interests to outside parties 
•    Possess good communication skills; both verbal and written.
•    Excellent interpersonal skills, deals effectively with a wide variety of people both in person and by telephone, proven collaboration skills that enhance                   teamwork        and align goals 
•    Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite programs; specifically, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD,  InDesign, and Bridge. As well as knowledge with Microsoft Office                                        programs. Keynote, Premiere Pro, After Effects and Sketch are bonus
 

Motion Graphics:
•    Having experience using After Effects Premier for video titling and animations
 

3-D Experience:
•    A developing skillset in 3D modeling and animation
•    Experience with Cinema 4D and /or Blender and Sketch Up

Marketing Server: 
•    Upload and archive final design files for collateral, media, packaging etc. 
•    Keep files current
•    Organize Server library when needed
 

Image Library:
•    Update and tag new products/logos for our marketing partners to access on site 
•    Maintain image library – clean up and delete old files 
 

Miscellaneous:
•    Create and keep current reference files/books for packaging updates (domestic and international).
•    Other duties as assigned

Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
