Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (SHIPBUILDING) in the ???????Quality Assurance Department Head located in the Quality Assurance (QA) Department Code 130, of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the quality and delivery of department programs and products, reports directly to the Commanding Officer and supervises a subordinate staff performing the work of the department. You will plan, direct, and administer the work of the department to be accomplished by subordinates through analysis of workload, sets and adjusts short-term and long-term priorities. You will support and carry out EEO policies and communicates support of these- policies to subordinates, ensuring equality in determining qualifications, selections, assignments, training, promotions, details, discipline and awards to employees. You will verify and perform continuous evaluation of the department’s workload to ensure available resources are effectively utilized for the accomplishment of assigned tasks. You will prepare schedules for completion of work assignments and provides redirection as required Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : Experience with the quality and delivery of department programs and products; Experience planning, directing, and administering work to be accomplished by subordinates through analysis of workload, sets and adjusts, short-term and long-term priorities; Experience preparing schedules for completion of work assignments and providing redirection as required; Experience reviewing work of subordinates in relation to command and department objectives to ensure conformance to established quality objectives and practices. Experience planning and overseeing implementation of training programs to develop and maintain capability in newer procedures and modifications of older procedures; Experience preparing individual development plans, managing personnel qualification and certification, and developing and evaluating subordinate employees' performance standards and appraisals; Experience communicating with various teams to ensure timely and technically acceptable solutions are identified for the repair and modernization of U.S. Naval vessels; Experience providing solutions on contractual requirements that address the needs of the Commander Navy Regional Maintenance Center (CNRMC), Prime Contractor and Type Commanders with the appropriate contract and technical risk mitigations in place to enact quality products that promote system readiness and serviceability.
