Position Description
The Manager, Events Business will assist the Senior Director of Events on all business functions related to the business function of the Events Department. The events department consists of the following functional areas : operations, competitions, special events & hospitality, event production and ticketing. U.S. Soccer events, including ticket revenue, are one of the Federation’s key revenue sources. This role serves to contribute to these areas by providing a taking administrative lead on event close-outs as well compiling a full analysis of past and current revenue and expense streams in order to continue to improve our expense planning and generate additional revenue in both the short and long-term. In addition, this role assists the Ticketing Department by maintaining and providing reports that contribute to financial decisions to impact ticketing revenue.
Primary Responsibilities
- Venue Scheduling
Assist in the negotiation, contracting and selection of venues for U.S. Soccer events, including non-soccer events.
Manage the event close-out and settlement process for U.S. Soccer events between U.S. Soccer and event venues with all relevant internal departments as well as external venues and vendors.
Creation of financial models for senior national team and event expenses based on projected schedule for each fiscal year
Assist in Annual Budget Process with budget roll-ups and reporting.
Research and understand funding sources through local CVBs and local tourism organizations
