Description of Position: Serves as the Chief, Engineering and Analysis Division and Supervisor in the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) for approximately 40 Federal Civilians, Active-Duty Military, and Contractor personnel. Plans, organizes, coordinates, directs, and evaluates the activities of engineers and analysts engaged in the operation and maintenance of advanced hardware and facilities assessing the vulnerability of systems and subsystems operating in NAVWAR environments
Position Responsibilities:
- Plans, organizes, coordinates, directs and evaluates the activities of engineers and analysts engaged in the operation and maintenance of advanced hardware and facilities assessing the vulnerability of systems and subsystems operating in NAVWAR environments.
- Develops offensive and defensive NAVWAR concepts and objectives for tests, assessments and experiments based on inputs and parameters from Joint Combatant Commanders, Services, intelligence sources, and international agreements.
- SME performing operations research analysis, modeling & simulation (M&S), and studies & analysis (S&A) support to the JNWC mission.
- Responsible for all aspects of NAVWAR technical support for tests, assessments, experiments and system evaluations in support of NAVWAR requirements.
- Manages and participates in efforts to provide NAVWAR expert technical opinions, assessments, and recommendations to warfighters, operational and deliberate planners, requirements developers, acquisition and testing programs, and scientific/technical development efforts.
Desired Skills/Expertise:
- Extensive understanding of Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) and NAVWAR applications to warfighting.
- Extensive understanding of NAVWAR Electronic Attack, Electronic Support & Electronic Protection as it applies to warfighting.
- Skilled in a range of methods and techniques used in operations research studies and possession of analytical abilities.
- Advanced skill sufficient to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; and maintain good working relationships with diverse groups and executive-level command management.
- Ability to participate in study teams; originate new ideas, projects, and methodologies; and execute projects and/or studies within established financial and/or time constraints.
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organization.

- Experience at the next lower broadband/grade level (or equivalent) in performing.
- Education Degree Requirements: In Operations Research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Clearance
- Position requires drug testing
- Occasional travel away from the regular duty location may be required.
- May be required to work overtime, irregular duty hours including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Position may be recalled to duty.
