SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE for GS-12:Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of principles, concepts, theories and practices of planning Counter Threat Finance programs to Interagency partners that involve Threat Finance activities and associated financial instruments of power and policy; knowledge of analysis, evaluation, fact-finding, and investigative techniques in order to gather data, identify significant factors, and recommend solutions and recommend possible alternative processes pertaining to functions and operations of DoD intelligence organizations and U.S. government interagency intelligence organizations; and knowledge of finance-related instruments to include a working knowledge of criminal and regulatory investigations and reporting mechanisms such as Suspect Activity Reports.

Understanding of national security and politico-military issues relevant to the Agency, Secretary of Defense, the Joint Staff, Department of Defense, Federal inter-agency, Military Departments and other Combatant Commands; knowledge which enables independent analysis and evaluation of national level strategy and policy issues and determination of appropriate Agency policy options and guidance related to such issues; knowledge of the content and application of US National Security Strategy and National Military Strategy at the unified command level; knowledge of the missions, organization, training, exercises, plans, operations, logistics, information sharing, interagency and international partners, state engagement strategies, and current and past activities of the Agency; and knowledge of Government of Canada and the organizations such as Canadian Ministry of National Defense, Canadian Defense Forces, Headquarters, Canada Command, Canadian Parliament and Privy Council, and other Canadian agencies and departments that the Agency interacts with on a regular basis.

- This position is designated by the Air Force as a Test Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. As a mandatory requirement for employment in this TDP, the incumbent is (A) to refrain from use of illegal drugs and (B) if required, to submit to urinalysis testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive position presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
