Summary
The GVH Receiver is responsible for the coordination, receipt and tracking of all merchandise received from GVH to each United store. The position is also responsible for managing the receiving operation and minimizing and eliminating losses incurred during deliveries.

The GVH Receiver is responsible for the coordination, receipt and tracking of all merchandise received from GVH to each United store. The position is also responsible for managing the receiving operation and minimizing and eliminating losses incurred during deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate GVH deliveries in a timely and efficient manner
- Check in merchandise, verifying the stores have received the accurate order and is billed correctly
- Ensure accurate credit when necessary
- Monitor partners to assure quality inventory control
- Responsible for keeping area clean, safe and efficient
- Utilize the computer system for accurate processing and communication of inventory and receipts
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of information being processed
- Monitor any fire exit doors in receiving, keeping them unblocked and free from debris
- Coordinate with department managers and store management to ensure proper paperwork is received with the proper distribution
- Ensure all receiving items are authorized and on file
- Communicate with supervisor any uncertainty that may arise
- Performs other duties as requested or required by supervisor
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year experience in a retail position
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and punctuality
- Strong interpersonal skills for developing positive and efficient working relationships with partners and team members
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Host Reporting, CT2020, 10-key, Excel and Word
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack and forklift
- Ability to work independently without supervision and effectively manage time
- Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
