POSITION SUMMARY : We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Financial Analyst - Radiology Manhattan . In this role, the successful candidate The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting financial reporting and analysis to the NYU School of Medicine Department of Radiology. The Financial Analyst will assist with budgets, projections, forecasts, financial reporting and special projects. They will also generate, analyze and distribute a variety of reports and analyses, which are vital to decision making processes for both Senior leadership and Management.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Prepares monthly expense and revenue transfers.
- Assists with developing and completing annual budget documents.
- Assists with financial projections and variance analysis.
- Prepares monthly and year-end accruals.
- Prepares monthly and quarterly financial reconciliations.
- Prepares cost analyses, as needed.
- Assists in designing new types of detailed reports for financial reporting.
- Use Microsoft Access to develop queries / reports to provide data to be used in projections and analyses.
- Prepares various invoices for processing.
- Ad-hoc special projects as needed.
- Assists with the development of written processes and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree and minimum 3 years relevant work experience or an equivalent combination. Superior communication skills, both written and verbal. Possess strong customer service and problem solving skill sets. Knowledgeable of accrual basis of accounting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance and / or related area. Working knowledge of general ledger, journal entries, A / P, A / R and month-end. Excellent analytical skills combined with a strong attention to detail and the ability to present complex information in a usable format to a diverse audience. Ability to multitask, and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proficiency in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams Must become and remain proficient in all programs necessary to perform the duties and responsibilities for this role including an advanced understanding of Excel with functionality such as pivot tables and v-lookup and Microsoft Word. Experience in healthcare institution.
