United Therapeutics (Nasdaq : UTHR ) seeks to travel down the corridors of indifference to develop treatments for rare, deadly diseases. We were founded in 1996 by a family seeking a cure for their daughter's pulmonary arterial hypertension( PAH) . Today, we have six FDA-approved therapies that treat PAH, pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease ( PH-ILD ) and neuroblastoma, a rare pediatric cancer. Our near-term pipeline seeks to develop additional therapies for PAH and pulmonary fibrosis ( PF ).
The cure for end-stage life-threatening diseases like PAH, PH-ILD, PF, and many others is an organ transplant, but only a small percentage of donated organs are available to address the vast need. For this reason, we are working to create manufactured organs to address the shortage of kidneys, hearts, lungs, and livers available for transplant. We believe an unlimited supply of tolerable, transplantable organs will eliminate the transplant waiting list and cure end-stage organ diseases for which transplant is not currently an option.

We'll work with the stakeholders to determine the need; you'll solve that need.
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-grade data pipelines, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency in support of organizational data needs
- Architect and implement data solutions leveraging SQL, Databricks (Python notebooks), and cloud-based technologies in Azure, integrating with Salesforce, Tableau, and Power BI, or other platforms as required
- Establish and enforce best practices in data engineering, including data governance, security, and compliance, while ensuring high-performance processing and storage solutions
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver impactful solutions
- Provide technical mentorship and leadership, guiding team members in problem-solving, best practices, and continuous skill development
- Drive innovation by researching, evaluating, and implementing emerging data technologies, methodologies, and architectures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the data ecosystem
- Optimize ETL / ELT processes and workflows to enhance data accessibility, integration, and performance across the organization
- Develop and maintain robust documentation, facilitate design discussions, and ensure knowledge sharing across the team
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement robust access and security controls, ensuring compliance and data integrity
- Oversee and enhance platform, business intelligence, and analytics integrations, ensuring seamless connectivity with platforms like Tableau, Power BI, and Salesforce
