JOB OVERVIEW
- Unloading inbound trucks and loading outbound trucks.
- This is a full-time position. Generally, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, including some Saturdays from 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekly work schedules are shared in advance.
- This position is paid hourly and eligible for overtime pay.
- No travel is expected for this position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Always adhere to yard rules of operation.
- Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you in excellent condition.
- Load and unload wood daily carefully while not damaging the wood.
- Load proper wood according to the order details and notes.
- Properly complete daily paperwork associated with loading and unloading trucks (half-pack sheets, sign-off on loads, and proper counts).
- Unload and tag wood properly on inbound loads.
- Meet production goals as set by Management.
- Operate machinery per UTD, OSHA, and product-specific standards.
- Attend daily pre-shift meetings.
- Communicate needs and issues directly to Team Lead.
- Complete all daily paperwork necessary to operate the equipment.
- Be on time and in compliance with the Company Handbook.
- Any other tasks assigned by the VP of Operations or Operations Manager.
EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Forklift experience with UTD certification or the ability to demonstrate safe handling of a forklift in an onsite test.
PREFERRED:
- Warehouse and/or manufacturing experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

- Ability to multitask safely in a fast-paced environment while paying attention to details.
- Strong communication skills and a team player.
- Familiarity with safety protocols, PPE, and SOP’s.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- May require prolonged standing, sitting, driving, and forklift vibration.
- Must be able to properly handle wood which may require climbing, balance, stooping, crouching, walking, and lifting.
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions; heat, cold, rain, snow, humidity; fumes, and airborne particles. Must be able to lift/carry 40 pounds or more.
