IT Applications Manager
POSITION OVERVIEW
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Serve as the internal application lead in implementing new applications; work closely with users to ensure that implementations and related integrations meet the functional and business requirements
- Manage the development, QA, deployment, and infrastructure for an internal custom database and online customer application suite
- Manage all aspects of business as it relates to IT applications systems, including upgrades, testing, and coordinating service outages with the out internal and external clients
- Oversee the provisioning, support, and training for end users with their workstations and all internal software applications
- Qualify internal software application needs through thorough process review with internal users; gather and document functional and business requirements
- Work closely with user groups to define and present the business case for new software capabilities to applications director and senior management
- Collaborate with impacted users to research and identify a short list of competing software products that most appropriately meet the defined and documented requirements
- Learn our data and develop a data plan to address digitization and management.

- Take on application support over the next 12 months
- Learn our business in order to provide value added technology solutions
- Other related tasks as needed.
SAFETY, HOUSEKEEPING & SECURITY
- Maintain a neat, clean and orderly work area and ensure company housekeeping policies and procedures
- Ensure the security of the facility, its environment and any potential safety hazards in the warehouse and on the dock
- Support and abide by the Company’s Safety and Security programs, initiatives, policies and procedures
- Hands on with SharePoint, Azure and O365 is required
- Hands on with Veeam and VMWare required
- Hands on with AD and Microsoft Server required
- Experience with data analysis and relational databases; solid understanding of application data structures
- Demonstrated ability and technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, developing, and implementing business software systems and related process documentation that meet business requirements and are cost effective
- Analytical, process, and operational skills to analyze complex issues and implement sensible solutions
EDUCATION/CERTIFICAITON
- TOGAF, ITIL, COBIT
- MOS, MCSA
- Bachelor's degree preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 3 years of progressively more responsible experience managing business IT systems
- 2 years of experience in a DBA or technical analyst role
- Experience supporting on premise and cloud applications
- Supply chain experience desirable
