WHY WE NEED YOU
We are inviting meticulous and tech-savvy administrators with a passion for organization to apply for our temporary HR Associate opportunity.
You will help us get ready for United Way's upcoming office move by successfully scanning, uploading, and organizing the Human Resources department files.
This temporary assignment is for 40 hours per week at our current office in Downtown Los Angeles. We are looking for someone who can start immediately, with the assignment expected to conclude on March 14, 2025.
HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE TO THE CAUSE
- Employee Records Management :
o Assist in scanning and digitizing current employee files for accurate and efficient record-keeping.
o Organize and maintain digital files to ensure accessibility and compliance with company policies.
o Support the removal and proper disposal of outdated or unnecessary employee files.
o Ensure all digital files are properly labeled and stored securely.
o Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive employee data.
o Collaborate with HR team members to ensure records are up to date and meet compliance standards.
o Assist in audits and reporting related to employee file management.
o Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed.
o Assist with special projects related to HR documentation and compliance. >
SKILLS YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED (The Must-Haves)
o High school diploma or equivalent required
o Experience in Human Resources is a plus
o You enjoy a hybrid environment that includes both in-person and remote work styles and are able to work from our DTLA office on Tuesdays and Thursdays
o You are able to provide documentation of your status as fully vaccinated with primary series of COVID-19 vaccine upon being hired.
o You understand the value of racial equity as an organizational operating principle and are committed to continued learning on issues related to race, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
o You are comfortable with handling various types of information and have acute discernment on when to share it - if it's confidential , you know how to keep it that way.
o You are comfortable and physically able to lift and move moderate to heavy items ( 10lbs) for short distances. >

Salary : $20
