Manager, Human Capital - Human Resources Projects
Experience Level: Human Resources Specialist
Reports to: Senior Director, Human Capital
Hybrid Schedule: Ten (10) in-office days per month.

Primary Responsibilities:
The Manager, Human Capital supports Human Capital (HC) leadership with talent management program initiatives that include professional development, employee engagement, and non-HC organization wide projects. The manager will collaborate with HC staff, in a collegial manner to coordinate multiple programs, processes and projects, manage timelines, and support HC and Administration initiatives within the organization. The successful candidate will ensure that assigned duties and projects are executed efficiently while fostering a positive and results oriented work environment through strategic HC management. Promote continuing professional development as part of the company’s overall mission and employee value proposition.
Professional Development Programs:
- Assist with the design, implement, and support programs and strategies aimed at the ongoing growth and development of employees. This role helps employees acquire the necessary skills, knowledge, and experiences to succeed in their current roles and prepare for future career progression within the organization.
- Organize, coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars aimed at improving employee performance and capabilities.
- Propose learning solutions to address identified skills gaps within the organization.
- Curate or create learning content for internal or external delivery (e.g., presentations, online courses, webinars). Encourage a culture of continuous learning and self-improvement.
- Review employee requests and submit to VP HC for approval; Maintain records of employee learning and development activities and associated payments.
- Create and manage training and development resources.
- Maintain UWNYC Professional development internal website, ensuring up to date professional development content.
- Where needed, register employees for hotels, conferences, professional development courses and events. Support staff through the process.
- Guide staff members to UWW Online when inquiring about UWW related conferences and discuss protocol.
- Provide LinkedIn Learning opportunities; Serves as LinkedIn learning administrator.
Talent Management and Engagement
- Coordinate and facilitate all-staff meeting preparation including gathering information for presentation.
- Collaborate with members of the all-staff resource team to ensure off-site staff meetings coordination are finalized and communicated in a timely manner.
- Gather and organize information regarding staff professional recognition emails
- Participate in the development of Human Capital surveys; create and test surveys using ADP survey module.
- Assist with the development of and produce HC metrics reports on a quarterly basis.
- Participate in the identification and implementation of training and development programs aimed at building skills and capabilities across the UWNYC workforce.
- Assist with the ongoing tool build, for HR Metrics, professional development, performance management process, exit interviews, etc.
Project Management:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of selected UWNYC projects to address organization needs. (e.g., employee engagement programs, training initiatives, policy and procedure updates).
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to identify needs
- Ensure seamless project delivery.
- As directed develop and maintain project timelines, track progress, and ensure projects meet deadlines and budgetary requirements.
- Monitor project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and deliver project status updates to senior leadership and other relevant parties.
- Assist with resource allocation and project scheduling.

Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or Liberal Arts (English, Communications) or a related field.
- Minimum three years of experience with Human Resources programs and/or project coordination.
- Demonstrated excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Interest in talent management programs and program administration.
- Ability to solve problems, proactively identify, and implement solutions.
- Strong project management skills with experience in planning, execution, and risk management; ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Power Point
- Proficiency in project management software and HRIS systems (e.g., Asana, Trello, Workday, ADP, etc.).
- Learn new computer / software programs as needed.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a fast-paced or growing organization.
- Ability to lead change initiatives and adapt quickly to new challenges.
- Ability to collaborate with staff, senior leaders, external partners, and the general public.

Salary range:
- The final determination of salary will depend on the candidate’s education, skills and experience required for the particular position.
Salary : $65,263 - $79,890
