JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: PROGRAM MANAGER
SUMMARY: The Program Manager position is responsible for supporting the United Way of South Central Oklahoma’s mission and expanding the organization’s outreach through the execution of various creative and innovative marketing strategies. The Program Manager ushers in new ways to drive and generate revenue by implementing strategies and opportunities to best engage campaign volunteers. This position is responsible for assisting with operations of the organization and oversees administrative support staff. Under the supervision of the Executive Director the Program Manager helps to advance the brand and positively position United Way of South Central Oklahoma as a philanthropic leader and trusted partner in the community by increasing awareness and visibility among the public, donors, advocates, and volunteers. The Program Manager position reports to the Executive Director.
Fundraising & Impact
· Develops and implements strategies and opportunities to best engage the community.
· Demonstrates the ability to proactively identify and qualify individuals and groups to give to/support UWSCO.
· Assists the Executive Director with daily operations of the organization and supervises receptionist
· Demonstrates a donor focused philosophy - listens to the needs, interests & passions of the donor with an eye to connecting them with our community work.
· Cares for the local community and desires to enhance the lives of everyone in our 5-county community.
· Serves as a liaison between UWSCO and partner agencies to understand needs and communicate those needs to stakeholders
· Expresses empathy & consideration for donor needs.
· Can identify, engage with, adapt to, and motivate various types of people & organizations.
· Develops and maintains strategic relationships that generate the resources necessary to support UWSCO’s mission.
· Effectively tells the story of UWSCO by speaking to individual donors and groups large and small.
Resource Development
· Develop creative and engaging content for communication platforms such as social media, website, eNewsletter, video and print media.
· Works effectively with the team to achieve UWSCO’s goals and communicate to various stakeholders.
· Coordinates with other departments and outside vendors to complete marketing materials such as brochures, snapshots, and video resources.
· Develop eNewsletters and press releases to promote stories that increase awareness and viability of the organization.
· Work with website design vendors to implement design changes to the website.
· Design ads, flyers, banners, brochures, fact sheets, event signage, invitations, etc. as needed.
· Develop and execute social media strategies for UWSCO.
· Collaborates with volunteers, interns, and consultants in elevating brand awareness.
· Supports leadership in establishing, implementing, and evaluating a strategic marketing plan.
· Helps to create and implement an organization-wide integrated marketing plan to ensure consistent messaging and uniformity of presentation.
· Ensures all content is on-brand, consistent in style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for user experience.
· Enhances UWSCO’s storytelling capacity by identifying and capturing stories with attention to content/style editing copywriting, and design for both online and offline channels.
· Assists with fundraising, and donor engagement duties.
· Demonstrate an awareness of a need to control expenses by efficiently utilizing supplies and equipment.
Physical Demands:
- Requires occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.; prolonged sitting and/or standing: up close and distance vision ability.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Program Manager will be a highly motivated self-starter with a bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or 2 years of documented work experience in a marketing field; demonstrate the ability to write strategic communications pieces for a nonprofit organization - including newsletters, website content, etc. Prior experience in nonprofit communications and/or fundraising preferred but not required. - The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, do-it-yourself, start-up environment.
- The capacity to multitask and manage multiple projects and assignments, often with competing deadlines.
- Position requires a valid driver’s license at all times and must maintain liability insurance for personal vehicle used for business travel.
- Must pass background and drug screen.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
