The Lead Mobility Mentor (LMM) is responsible for helping participants and their families to navigate and access community services, other resources, and adopt healthy behaviors. The LMM supports service providers through an integrated approach to care management and community outreach. As a priority, activities will promote, maintain, and improve the health and financial well-being of participants and their family. A successful LMM will have a strong ability to communicate effectively, build relationships, advocate, and educate stakeholders on low-to-middle income families and the ALICE (Asset-Limited- Income Constrained- Employed) population.

Key Accountabilities
1. Provide leadership to direct reports including goal setting, performance evaluation, career development, and guidance in their field of work.
2. Serve as liaison between partners and UWSHR; collaborate with community partners to implement financial stability strategies for achieving community-level results to assure that all families served can thrive.
3. Serve as a subject matter expert, advocate, and ALICE programming representing UWSHR in the community.
4. Work cross-functionally with UW Resource Development (RD) and Marketing teams to develop and communicate compelling messages to collaborating partners, and the larger community utilizing various media.
Administrative & Financial:
- Support reporting requirements for funders to ensure timely and accurate reporting and budget monitoring
- Experience managing budgets and reconciling expenses
- Proficient with navigating excel and Apricot 360, UWSHR’s CI programming database system, to monitor direct report’s caseloads, capacity, and documentation.
- Responsible for the review and approval of financial assistance requests submitted by direct reports as related to workforce and wraparound supports.
Community Collaboration:
- Effectively communicate UWSHR’s mission and vision.
- Work closely with THRIVE staff and internal team to build trusting relationships with residents.
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with community service providers to support participants with comprehensive and coordinated plans to achieve success.
- Knowledgeable about community resources appropriate to needs of participants/families.
- Participate in community conversations with internal and external stakeholders to break down complex problems and situations, develop strategies, and create solutions.
Data & Reporting
- Assist with the collection of client’s social, financial, and housing wellbeing status while enrolled to support reporting requirements to funders and measuring client’s progress.
- Understands, analyzes, and uses community and social data to create effective community solutions.
- In collaboration with the UWSHR data team, provide oversight to Apricot 360 which collects, manages, and reports data specific to programming. Additionally, identifies core measurable outcomes related to financial stability to build on United Way’s data impact.
- Support the aggregation and analyzation of outcomes and metrics to assess the performance of programs to gauge their effectiveness in uplifting the community. Utilize the support of data to help drive programmatic shifts when needed.
- Responsible for providing consistent communication to any additional Mentors to evaluate participant/family status, ensuring that provided information, and reports clearly describe progress.
Program & Implementation
- Support Mentors to maintain and manage caseload of participants.
- Maintain confidentiality and always remain current with HIPAA compliance.
- Utilize all tools and resources available to manage caseload, including but not limited to Unite Us and 211.
- Be available based on the needs of participants with the ability to be flexible with scheduling, including traditional and non-traditional work hours; evening and weekends may be required to meet the needs of your team and participants.
- Continuously monitors and evaluates progress based on goals.
Marketing, Resource Development, & Outreach
- Work effectively with AVP, Resource Development and Marketing teams to develop and communicate compelling messages to collaborating partners, and to the larger community utilizing various media.
- Maintain and distribute information (participating in events, announcements, trainings) via email, website, and other platforms, as needed.
- Actively participates in projects, special events, and engages in cross-functional teams or workgroups that support the work of the entire organization.
- Engage UWSHR staff and volunteers to achieve goals related to programming and funding, fundraising, and communications.
- Monitor volunteer performance and success.
- Provide recognition volunteer efforts.
- Identify potential new opportunities for volunteers.

Key Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human development, family studies, psychology, sociology or related field or relevant combination of experience.
- 1-2 years of case management or family coaching experience
- 2 years of previous supervisory experience required
- Previous experience with managing program grants
- Knowledge of local community resources and services
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, listening, writing
- Ability to take tasks to completion with minimal supervision
- Microsoft Office skills and experience required
- Commitment to excellence and the mission of United Way
Work Demands & Environment:
- Ability to stoop, lift, finger – for example pick, pinch, type, and grasp
- Ability to clearly and concisely express and exchange detailed information and ideas to others accurately via spoken word
- Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- The worker is subject to a variety of inside environmental conditions that may occur in an office, a private home, or elsewhere in the community including temperature variations, unpleasant odors, and potential allergens
- Although inside work is the standard, it is required that the individual be able to travel and may be exposed to a variety of weather conditions
- Drivers License required with current valid auto insurance, and acceptable driving record
