OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITES
United Way of Weld County is currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Finance Team. This position will be the lead individual for processing revenue for the Finance department, perform general ledger maintenance and analysis, and will assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Finance and Accounting expertise
Campaign Accounting LeadValidates pledge and payment processing and ensures accuracy of transactions of donor database software (Andar) for import to Finance software (Abila MIP)Assists, when needed, with pledge and payment processing in donor database softwareDesignations - Data input, research, information collection, quarterly payouts and reporting per United Way Worldwide Standard MAssists in any campaign reporting requested by leadershipProcesses Annual Receipts, including childcare tax credit receipts and HCTC receiptsResearch and enter various income deposits into accounting softwareMonthly, quarterly and annual closing tasksMonthly bank, endowment, and investment journal entriesMonthly import of Andar transactions into Abila softwareMonthly balancing between Andar software and Abila softwareAssist with monthly financial statementsGeneration of special reports as neededAssist VP Finance with budget preparation and inputAssist with audit preparationProvide technical advice / support and troubleshooting assistance for Finance related IT issuesUnited Way of Weld County General

Bachelors degree in accounting or related field required2 years experience in accounting including general ledger and journal entries required2 years nonprofit experience preferredProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookExperience with accounting software, Abila MIP preferredExperience with donor processing systems, Andar preferredExperience with NACHA / ACH / EFT origination and collectionPOSITION INFORMATION
Full-time (40 hours), non-exemptSalary Range (H9) $26.21-$31.32 per hourSupervisory duties : n / aReports to : Controller & VP of FinanceEligible for remote work : Hybrid after 90 days of employment with supervisors approvalBackground and credit check requiredBENEFITS
