Overview:
The Marketing Director will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the organization's marketing strategy. This role will work with various team members to build brand awareness, increase engagement with our mission, and drive fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience in nonprofit marketing, a strong understanding of digital and traditional marketing strategies, and the ability to inspire and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that support the organization’s mission, goals, and initiatives.
- Oversee the creation of high-quality content, including newsletters, social media posts, blogs, press releases, and marketing materials.
- Manage digital marketing efforts, including website content, email campaigns, SEO, and social media platforms.
- Develop strategies for donor engagement and fundraising campaigns, working closely with the development team.
- Analyze and track key performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and optimize efforts.
- Lead a marketing team and collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment organization wide.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, partners,and other stakeholders.
- Represent the organization at events, conferences, and meetings to strengthen brand visibility and mission awareness.
- A dynamic, enthusiastic, and creative leader who thrives under pressure.
- Organized, personable and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in general computer functions including social media platforms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications,Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in marketing, preferably within a nonprofit setting.
- Proven ability to create and implement effective marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms, including social media, SEO, email marketing, and analytics tools.
- Experience in managing a team, budgets, and project timelines.
- Passion for the organization’s mission and a commitment to advancing social impact.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with fundraising marketing or donor communications.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, or other design/content management software.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and marketing automation tools.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling stories and messages.
