As a Financial Analyst, you will work closely with business leaders to perform and manage the analyses of business and financial metrics across an aligned business segment within either a UnitedHealthcare or Optum line of business.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze and report on financials for aligned business segment
- Develop and maintain financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget
- Assist in the development of program forecasts, budgets, and plans
- Work closely with the business to develop, recommend and establish strategies, plans, and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies
- Research economic progressions to assist with the organization’s financial planning strategy
- Create annual budget templates
- Prepare spreadsheets to effectively show financial results and financial forecasts

Required Qualifications:
- Currently in final year of obtaining a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in finance or related field from an accredited college/university
- Bachelor's degree completed prior to July 2025
- Coursework to obtain degree must be completed prior to start of employment. Degree must be awarded and verified within 6-8 weeks following the commencement date at your school.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.)
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and leadership potential
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated presentation skills
- 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
The salary range for this role is $49,300 to $96,400 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable.
