Consistent with Unitil’s mission and strategic objectives, retain, secure, and grow retail revenues by:
- Creating and exploiting opportunities to market gas, electricity and the company’s products and services to assigned market sectors: residential and commercial.
- Coordinating the resolution of customer issues, sale of products and contract execution. Provide the dissemination of product and industry information, and market intelligence resulting in higher levels of customer satisfaction and increased market share in designated market and territories.
- Develop sales territories and customer base by providing information on customer needs and buying behaviors, competitive field intelligence, potential sales alliances, and the most effective methods of product delivery resulting in the most cost effective use of time and resources thus higher profitability of product sales.

Attract, retain, and expand business within Unitil’s service territories by:
- Supporting economic development efforts by assisting with promotions, trade shows, sponsorships, seminars and other modes of market and product communication.
- Supporting key account management processes that are customer focused and targeted to create and maintain critical and delicate customer relationships for maximum benefit to customers and Unitil.
- Supporting the coordination and communication of Energy Efficiency programs to assigned customer segments.

Provide constant and effective communications to company management through formal and informal communication processes. Support department planning efforts. Deliver communications to all external stakeholders that create a common message and singular voice for Unitil in the various publics it encounters.
Qualifications- Bachelor degree in Marketing or business-related fields, or equivalent and 2-4 years of related experience.
- Must be able to demonstrate successful professional experience in sales, marketing, or business development. Must have computer, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
