Job Title: Radiology Technician (Contractor - Onsite)
Location: Pontiac, MI 48341
Shift: Monday to Friday, 17:30 - 03:30 (10 hours/day, 4 days/week)
Pay Rate: $60.28/hr (includes taxable component and per diem)
Duration: 3- Months Contract
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiology Technician to join our team on a full-time contractor basis. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, performing critical diagnostic imaging tasks with a focus on patient care, safety, and quality. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in radiology and will be able to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination rooms for patient procedures.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to ensure clear and accurate images.
- Position patients and equipment, providing clear instructions, and ensuring patient comfort throughout the process.
- Input scan sequences into the computer, adjusting density and contrast as necessary, and monitor the display to ensure high-quality images.
- Ensure patient safety and prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation during exams.
- Produce diagnostic images and communicate essential findings to the physician.
- Update patient records and provide accurate documentation of procedures.
- Coordinate daily schedules for procedures and manage radiographic supplies.
- Handle administrative duties, including answering technical inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing pre-procedure guidance.
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technician.
- Proficiency in performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Ability to operate radiographic equipment and manage complex imaging tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare teams.
- Professional references required.
Additional Information:
- This is a contractor position with a weekly schedule of 40 hours.
- The hourly rate of $60.28/hr (taxable component of $43.94/hr and a per diem of $16.33/hr for non-local candidates.)
