We are looking for a heat pump technician/installer to join our team! Unity Heat Pumps' core service offering is installing efficient, eco-friendly heat pump systems. Therefore, this role is crucial to the success of the business, the happiness of customers, and our overall impact. Responsibilities include preparation for job implementation, job execution, cleanup, and organization afterward. Friendly interaction with customers and colleagues is key, and occasional crossover into other roles may be required, due to the small startup nature of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- High-quality heat pump system installation in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
- Cleaning, maintenance, and repair of heat pump systems.
- Upholding relevant certifications (e.g., EPA 608).
- Keeping work areas clean and organized.
- Using software for scheduling, communication, and time tracking.
- Registering systems for warranty.
- Maintaining a positive attitude towards clients, coworkers, and vendors.
- Working independently and collaboratively.
- Loading/unloading work vehicles.
- Disposal of trash/recycling weekly.
- Participation in meetings and occasional crossover into sales/marketing activity.
Experience
- Must be able to fully install a ductless heat pump system solo (including flaring, vacuuming, etc.).
- Proper training and certification required (EPA 608, relevant heat pump installation training)
- Water Heater/plumbing experience/knowledge is a bonus and may increase your pay rate.
Compensation:
- $25-30/hr.
- $100 monthly health stipend ($200 for root-cause healing work).
- $100 monthly tool stipend (with receipts).
- More is available if the role eventually transitions to full time.
