What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heat Pump Installer/Technician position at Unity Heat Pumps?
Job Summary: Unity Heat Pumps' core service offering is installing efficient, eco-friendly heat pump systems. This role is essential to the business's success, customer satisfaction, and overall impact. The role includes job preparation, implementation, cleanup, and organization, alongside friendly customer and colleague interactions. Given the startup nature of the company, crossover into other roles may sometimes be needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- High-quality installation of heat pump systems in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
- Cleaning, maintenance, and repair of heat pump systems.
- Maintaining certifications (e.g., EPA 608) and undergoing relevant training.
- Keeping work areas clean and organized.
- Utilizing software for time tracking, client/team communication, scheduling, etc.
- Registering systems for warranties.
- Maintaining a positive attitude towards clients, coworkers, and vendors.
- Collaborating with and assisting team members.
- Handling tasks like loading/unloading vehicles and disposing of trash/recycling.
- Participating in regular meetings with the Owner and weekly team meetings.
- Occasionally assisting in other roles (e.g., sales, marketing).
Compensation:
- $25-30/hour.
- $100 monthly health stipend (increases to $200/month for root-cause healing work).
Experience/Skill Requirements
- Must be able to fully install a ductless mini-split system, with knowledge on how to properly operate all necessary HVAC tools (flaring tool, vacuum pump, etc.).
- Service and repair of ductless systems.
- EPA 608 Certification.
- Plumbing experience is a bonus (we also install heat pump water heaters).
- General competency in power tools, ladder-work, etc.
