School District Finance Director

Unity School District is seeking a full-time, student and staff-centered Finance Director to begin during the current year. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for supervising, directing, coordinating and evaluating activities in the areas of facilities, budget, accounting, and payroll. By establishing and maintaining efficient procedures and effective records for all District transactions in accordance with the District budget, as well as state and federal guidelines, the Director of Finance works in partnership with the Superintendent to prepare and present the budget and serves as a financial/budget resource to Schools and Departments.

Qualifications Necessary: Qualified candidates should be able to lead collaboratively in a school where teachers, students, and the community work together to provide a positive, challenging learning environment. Must be well organized, can create and follow a schedule of varying appointments, and work efficiently throughout the day. Must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, have a minimum of three (3) years of successful accounting or school finance experience; minimum of three (3) years of proven management/leadership experience. Eligibility to hold or obtain Wisconsin DPI School Business Manager License is preferred.
