Responsibilities
We are seeing a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Urgent Care team. As a Medical Assistant in our Urgent Care facility, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.
- Greet and prepare patients for examination, including taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and preparing exam rooms.
- Assist healthcare providers during medical procedures, examinations, and minor surgical interventions.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws, urinalysis, and point-of-care testing.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) and patient charts.
- Handle patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and coordinate referrals as needed.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinic environment and prioritize tasks.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / Mandatory Reporter.
