Central Supply Manager

Location: Waterloo Allen Hospital
Central Supply Manager is responsible for operationalizing the vision and strategy of the Supply Chain Department. This includes project coordination, planning, and day to day administration of the Supply Chain staff responsible for the receiving, distribution and overall inventory management of supplies within the organization while concurrently facilitating efficient and cost-effective operations to meet current and future business needs of the organization related to supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Supply Chain team in managing the day-to-day activities to support the receiving, distribution and inventory management functions.
- Provide overall prioritization of work assignments and management of functional team resources, and their activities.
- Responsbile for the recruiting, training, coaching, team building and succession planning.
- Prepare and participate in the preparation of staff development plans for each staff member.
- Assess the skills and skill levels necessary to achieve Supply Chain work objectives.
- Accountable for engagement and performance enablement of the Supply Chain team Performs performance evaluations for staff. Creates an environment for staff growth, development, career planning, productivity and satisfaction by conducting staff meetings and one-on-one meetings at least monthly with all direct reports
- Establish effective mechanisms of communication with staff and the management team to foster an environment of openness, trust, teamwork and staff development.
Education: Associates Degree or courses leading to a Bachelors degree in Supply Chain or Business
Experience: 5 years relevant experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Control
License(s)/Certification(s): Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
