Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the accounts receivable functions for UC, Besa, and FFC
This includes but is not limited to :
Private Pay clients
Various Long Term Care Insurance providers (such as John Hancock, CNA, Brighthouse etc)
Medicare / Medicaid?
Analyze and observe AR functions and processes to ensure maximum workflow and productivity, communicating deficiencies and implementing fixes as well as best practices to operation management.
Manage the RCM platform HHAexchange and coordinate with the Finance Team on the open AR to be collected
Provide and conduct subject matter training as needed with office staff as well as remote staff
Monitor, update and train to home health care AR policies and procedures related to current Company policy and industry specific government regulations in effect.
Communicate best practices with peers, AR team, and facility staff.
Assist, monitor and provide corrective action to accounts receivable workflow processes.
Assure established procedures for processing A / R billings, receipts, cash applications, denials management, etc. are followed by all departmental team members.
Assures billing, collection, denial, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines are met by each team member.
Assures re-billings and / or adjustments are processed appropriately and timely.
Maintains an accurate aging report of the department.
Interact with facility administrators to resolve outstanding A / R deficiencies.
Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail or personally
Adheres to all HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare accounts receivable management, preferably in home health care
Demonstrated experience with RCM platforms, specifically HHAexchange
Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing procedures and regulations
Proven experience in managing and collecting from Long Term Care Insurance providers
Comprehensive knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in HHAexchange or similar RCM platforms
Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
Experience with healthcare billing software and electronic medical records systems
Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data and billing reports
Proficiency in standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite)
Industry Knowledge
In-depth understanding of home health care billing processes and requirements
Knowledge of current healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
Familiarity with private pay billing procedures
Understanding of different insurance payer requirements and processes
Experience with denial management and appeals processes
