Role Overview
The Configuration Specialist is responsible for configuration, documentation, development, and integration of all UAS technology including security products, including cameras, head-end systems, and security panels. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with technology and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and configure security products, including cameras, head-end systems, security panels, and other UAS-related equipment.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.
- Train internal departments on product programming, configuration, and system functionality.
- Create, update, and maintain technical instructions/manuals for internal teams and field technicians.
- Assist the shipping department in packaging and preparing configured equipment for deployment.
- Ensure all configured equipment meets company standards before shipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of technology and computer networking.
- Working knowledge of PCs and Windows-based software.
- Familiarity with security systems, cameras, access control, or alarm systems is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot and configure hardware and software settings.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
- Effective communication skills for training internal teams and documenting procedures.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and security products.
Work Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb step ladders and platform ladders as needed.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse and technical setup environment.
- Ability to sit, stand, and move between workstations for extended periods.
- Attention to detail when handling and configuring security equipment.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced setting with tight deadlines.
