Our organization is looking for a Medical Office Assistant to join our team and provide support in medical primary care, physical and rehabilitation medicine, and sleep medicine. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent customer service and medical skills. You will be responsible for scheduling appointments, answering clinic phone, calling patients to confirm appointments, drawing labs, performing EKG, pulmonary function test, assist with clinic laundry, orienting tasks, in charge of the facility operations, maintaining patient records, and assisting with administrative tasks, perform medical testing. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in the medical field. On site training will be provided to the right candidate
Responsibilities:
- Greet/checking patients in/out and provide customer service.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records.
- Answer phones and respond to inquiries from patients and staff.
- Assist with sign in sheets and faxing
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with physical exams, pulmonary function test, sleep study reports, and other medical procedures.
- Assist with vital signs and venipunctures
- Performing EKG
- Prepare patient charts for visits.
- Ability to be bilingual English/Spanish or Haitian-Creole
- Assist with clinic laundry
- Help with clinic operations
Job Types: Part-time, PRN, Per diem
Pay: $12.50 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
