Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Provide top-notch nursing care to Med Surg patients, including assessments, treatments, and monitoring for changes in condition.
• Administer Medications: Safely administer medications, IVs, and treatments while keeping a close eye on patient responses.
• Monitor Vital Signs: Regularly check and document vital signs, ensuring any issues are flagged and communicated promptly.
• Assist with Daily Needs: Support patients with mobility, hygiene, feeding, and other daily activities to keep them comfortable and cared for.
• Collaborate with the Care Team: Work closely with RNs, doctors, and other healthcare pros to ensure each patient gets the best care possible. Teamwork makes the dream work!
• Documentation: Keep accurate, up-to-date records of patient care, medications, and any observations to keep the team in the loop.
• Educate Patients and Families: Provide guidance and education on treatments, medications, and discharge plans to empower patients and families.

Qualifications:

• Current LPN License: Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in Nebraska (don’t leave home without it!).
• Experience: Med Surg experience preferred, but a can-do attitude and willingness to learn go a long way.
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required—no capes, just great care!
• Skills: Strong clinical skills, communication abilities, and a team-player attitude.
• Bonus Points: If you bring a smile, positivity, and an extra corny joke to the floor—we love it!
