Overview
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work in a hospital or research laboratory setting, performing various laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
Duties
- Conducting assays and analyzing body fluids, tissues, and cells to provide accurate data for patient care
- Collecting and processing specimens for testing
- Operating laboratory equipment to perform tests such as DNA isolation, flow cytometry, and more
- Utilizing laboratory information management systems to record and track test results
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment following aseptic techniques
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Experience working in a clinical laboratory or hospital setting
- Familiarity with research laboratory practices
- Proficiency in conducting DNA isolation and flow cytometry
- Ability to adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $44.00 per hour
