Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract in Merced, CA. This position offers a day shift schedule (3x12s) and requires a nurse who is experienced, compassionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced procedural environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopies, EGDs, and other GI interventions.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Administer sedation under the direction of the physician and monitor patient response.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in accordance with facility protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies at all times.
Requirements:
- Active California RN License (unencumbered).
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Endoscopy nursing experience.
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required).
- Strong knowledge of GI procedures, sedation protocols, and patient recovery practices.
- Excellent critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Must be available for day shifts, 3x12 schedule.
