Job Description:

We are actively seeking a skilled and compassionate ICU/PCU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in Nebraska. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a critical care setting where clinical excellence, collaboration, and quality patient care are top priorities.

This is a rotating day and night shift position, with varied start times depending on departmental needs. Candidates must be flexible and adaptable to both shift types.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill and progressive care patients, monitoring vital signs and administering medications as needed.
• Utilize clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with best practices.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the Cerner EMR system.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide lifesaving interventions in high-pressure situations.
• Prioritize patient safety and uphold infection control protocols and hospital standards.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge care instructions.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced ICU/PCU environment.

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Nebraska or compact state) – Required
• Certifications: BLS/BCLS and ACLS – Required
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU and/or PCU experience in a hospital setting
• EMR experience with Cerner – Preferred
• Strong adaptability and ability to work both day and night shifts
