Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a 13-week contract in Chandler, AZ. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care skills, the ability to work in a high-acuity setting, and experience managing complex patient cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs and life-support equipment.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure documentation compliance.
- Respond swiftly to emergency situations and changes in patient conditions.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and post-care instructions.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and hospital protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
- Active Arizona RN license.
- ACLS, BLS, and CCRN certifications (or willingness to obtain if required).
- Strong knowledge of critical care protocols and ventilator management.
- Ability to work night shifts (3x12 schedule).
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
