Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry to join our healthcare team in Bryan, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telemetry nursing, providing high-quality care to patients who require continuous cardiac monitoring. This role is for the night shift and follows a 12-hour, 3-day-per-week schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret patients' telemetry readings to assess heart conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Provide comprehensive patient care, including monitoring vital signs, assessing symptoms, and implementing nursing interventions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post-hospital care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas (or compact license).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a telemetry or similar acute care setting.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
