Job Summary

• The Director of Women's Services oversees all activities and resources of the department to ensure the achievement of its objectives within a healthcare setting.

Essential Functions

• Develops and implements goals, plans, and standards for the department that align with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical guidelines of the organization.
• Manages department operations, including patient care, information technologies, service level decisions, and complaint management to meet performance and quality standards.
• Oversees staffing activities such as hiring, training, evaluating, and disciplinary actions along with ongoing education initiatives.
• Manages departmental budgets, ensuring operations comply with financial allocations.
• Coordinates and oversees internal and external audits.
• Promotes a professional development-friendly environment and integrates evidence-based practices into departmental protocols.
• Serves as a key resource for staff on obstetrical and neonatal issues.

Minimum Education

• Associate’s Degree Required
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Required Skills

• Strong critical thinking and decisive judgment, with the ability to operate independently.
• Capable of working effectively under stress.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), and AWHONN membership.

Licenses

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Kentucky.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Overnight shift

Experience:

• Women’s Services or Obstetrics: 2 years (Preferred)
• Leadership or Supervisory: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Registered Nurse license in the State of Kentucky (Preferred)
• AWHONN Certification (Preferred)
• BLS Instructor Certification (Preferred)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) Certification (Preferred)
