The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with senior business leaders and global teams, both internally at Virgin Music Group, and externally with partners and external organizations.
How You’ll CREATE
- Provide direct support to the Global Head of Communications & Brand Strategy.
- Serve as the department coordinator, supporting global communications and brand projects as needed.
- Liaise with senior-level business leaders and their global teams across 35 territories to execute communications and brand initiatives.
- Assist in organizing and executing global events, including research, executive preparation, guest lists, approvals, asset management, tracking, and billing.
- Manage media databases, distribution lists, and press release distribution platforms.
- Track, archive, and prepare media coverage reports.
- Support and track global communications and event marketing budgets across multiple regions.
- Coordinate annual advertising plans, agreements, assets, and billing.
- Coordinate internal communications needs.
- Coordinate with external publicists, label partners, agencies, and vendors on PR and branding initiatives.
- Support global social media efforts, including asset gathering, content creation, guideline management, and social media strategy.
- Assist in the creation, distribution, and management of internal and external newsletters.
- Manage global artist and label success grids to track milestones and achievements.
- Liaise with finance and vendors while managing Uniport payment systems.
- Track global communications and brand marketing spending.
- Schedule and coordinate internal and external meetings.
- Manage meeting notes and action items.
- Organize travel arrangements and itineraries for executives.
- Conduct research and organize high volumes of information efficiently.
- 1-2 years of experience in communications, PR, or marketing. Experience in the music industry, entertainment, tech, or agency environment is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to anticipate problems and proactively develop solutions.
- Strong research and data organization skills.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and integrity.
- Positive attitude and ability to build relationships across multiple functions and business units.
- Global mindset, with the ability to work across multiple time zones and navigate cultural sensitivities.
- Familiarity with Outlook, MuckRack, Cision, Airtable, WordPress, and traditional and social media platforms is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.
