What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Business Counsel position at Universal Music Group?
At Universal Music Group, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Counsel to join our team in the Business & Legal Affairs department. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in overseeing the negotiation and drafting of complex entertainment-related agreements, providing legal advice on content acquisition and product exploitation, and managing litigation matters.
The ideal candidate will possess strong law firm and/or Business & Legal Affairs experience, with a proven track record of successfully negotiating recorded content acquisition, marketing, and exploitation agreements. They will also have excellent contract drafting skills, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize competing priorities while maintaining a commitment to finding pragmatic solutions in closing deals.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will be a strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills, able to effectively communicate with colleagues, management, and external parties. Fluency in English and Spanish is required for this position.
