JOB SUMMARY:
Provides strategic direction in the finance control function at UDX, specifically administering independent and objective assurance and advisory activity. The Assurance & Advisory (“A&A”) Director will ensure the adequacy of, and compliance with, UDX policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, asset/information security and integrity, as well as the overall internal control environment. This job involves leading a team of Managers and Senior Analysts to execute assurance & advisory projects. Additional job responsibilities include managing the Comcast financial statement audit process for UDX as well as any Comcast Global Audit or IP licensor audits.

JOB SUMMARY:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct the execution of the UDX Project Plan. Manage the Project Plan and perform any ad-hoc projects as needed. For all projects, perform second-level review of project planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases. Ensure communication of project results with Management and distribute formalized report. Lead the review of project results with executive leadership.
- Track the effective remediation of management action plans resulting from A&A or other audit functions. Provide reporting to executive leadership on status ensuring communication of any delays.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual Travel & Expense reviews. Ensure quarterly reviews are prepared and submitted in accordance with NBCU policy.
- Lead the annual risk assessment and UDX Project Plan development – identify, assess, and prioritize risks to select A&A projects that address determined areas of focus.
- Direct and supervise the overall UDX assurance & advisory function. Manage team by providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, career development, and performance management.
- Be the main point of contact for any external or internal audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and information are provided promptly and accurately.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree is required (Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field).
- Masters or equivalent is preferred.
- 10 years in auditing or accounting, and supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPA License, CIA, CISA, CISSP required.
- Critical thinking capabilities, specifically when considering internal controls and their application to business processes and risk assessments.
- Strong documentation, executive report writing, and presentation skills.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
- Project management.
- Proficient financial, statistical, and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to turn information into insights.
- Foundational technical auditing and accounting knowledge.
- Strong facilitation and consulting skills with the ability to interact well with others on a direct basis.
- Current on industry trends.
