Job Summary

The Vice President of Transformation Strategy & Value Management is a visionary leader and strategic thinker who inspires alignment, collaboration, and action across a diverse range of stakeholders and teams. This individual plays a critical role in shaping and guiding UDX’s transformational efforts, driving value creation and realization through innovative strategies and operational excellence. The Vice President leads efforts to deliver measurable improvements in operational performance—including revenue growth, cost optimization, and enhanced Guest and Team Member experiences. This leader is responsible for the strategic design and governance of the transformation portfolio, ensuring initiatives are aligned with UDX’s overarching key strategic pillars. Through their expertise in strategy development, portfolio management, and value-driven leadership, the Vice President establishes frameworks and processes that enable effective prioritization, execution, and evaluation of initiatives. They serve as a trusted partner to executive leadership, bridging ambition with actionable strategies and creating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT & VISION ALIGNMENT
    • Define the overarching strategy for enterprise transformation, aligned with corporate goals for driving growth, efficiency, and innovation
    • Enable identification and optimization of business processes to increase efficiency, enable automation, and enhance Guest and Team Member Experience.
    • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, achieving significant optimization in operational expenses.
    • Collaborate with executive leaders across the enterprise to prioritize initiatives that target the core strategic bets, such as market growth, efficiency optimization, and AI adoption/implementation.
    • Create and maintain a multi-year transformation roadmap with clearly defined milestones and targets.
    • Translate high-level strategic goals into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
    • Identify and prioritize opportunities to create value across the organization.
    • Accountable for successful realization of value initiatives, tracking progress and metrics.
    • Serve as a thought leader, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • INITIATIVE DESIGN & BUSINESS CASE DEVELOPMENT
    • Lead the design of high-impact initiatives by working closely with the enterprise to prioritize and promote highest value ideas.
    • Oversee the development of robust business cases, including ROI analyses and detailed financial models that tie to the desired value metrics for UDX.
    • Lead the definition of clear success metrics for each initiative, ensuring alignment with enterprise transformation goals.
    • Ensure all initiatives are designed with scalability, sustainability, and long-term value in mind.
    • Lead the development and communication of initiative roadmaps and implementation plans.
  • TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP
    • Visionary leadership skills focused on development and communication of a clear vision for transformation and efficiency across the organization.
    • Mentor and develop team members, fostering growth and expertise
    • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team and broader organization.
    • Define clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for the ETMO team and help cascade to the enterprise.
    • Ensure the team is equipped with tools, resources, and training to succeed.
    • Drive an agile, collaborative, and innovative team culture that aligns with the company's values.
  • PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT & GOVERNANCE
    • Oversee the end-to-end portfolio of transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic bets and objectives.
    • Establish and oversee intake rules, templates, and forms for initiative evaluation, scoring and prioritization.
    • Lead the development of portfolio health monitoring systems, including dashboards and reporting frameworks.
    • Ensure resource allocation aligns with initiative needs, balancing capacity and demand.
    • Monitor portfolio risks, dependencies, and performance against value targets and enterprise transformation goals.
    • Drive portfolio governance through executive-level committees and reporting mechanisms.
  • ENTERPRISE-WIDE COLLABORATION
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives and transformation leaders across UDX with the support of the Transformation Champions.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to the Global Transformation Officer and other business functions across UDX such as Creative, Finance, HR, Marketing & Sales, Digital & Technology, Operations, Infrastructure etc.
    • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to break down silos and drive unified execution across UDX.
    • Lead communications with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and buy-in.
    • Represent the ETMO at strategic forums, executive meetings, and industry events.
    • Develop strategies for engaging and mobilizing key stakeholders at all levels.
    • Serve as a custodian of the ETMO helping the organization comprehend its purpose, mission and overarching goals.
  • PERFORMANCE TRACKING AND VALUE REALIZATION
    • Design and oversee frameworks for tracking initiative performance and value realization.
    • Serve as the custodian of value realization by rigorously measuring progress, outcomes, and financial impact of the ETMO portfolio.
    • Provide readouts to executive leadership on portfolio status and value achievements.
    • Drive corrective actions for underperforming initiatives, ensuring accountability and alignment.
    • Embed a culture of results-driven execution within the ETMO and across the enterprise.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 12 years of experience in strategy, business transformation, portfolio management, productivity, and leadership roles.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Value Management, Change Management, PMP, SMPS, CSBP, CDTO, Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant certifications preferred but not required.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering large-scale transformation and productivity initiatives.
  • Experience in value management methodologies such as Value Engineering, Value Analysis or Value Management.
  • Experience in benefits realization, with a strong understanding of how to define, analyze and measure value metrics and targets
  • Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams, with a strong ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Experience in change management, with a strong understanding of organizational change and cultural transformation.
  • Experience in technology enablement with a strong understanding of how technology can be used to value creation and realization.
  • Experience in data-driven decision making, with a strong understanding of how data can be used to drive transformation and productivity initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in areas of general management, specifically around team member development, leadership skills, organizational skills, and managing/setting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions while working through complex issues, program, and business interest related issues.
  • Well, developed, executive-level critical thinking and communication skills (written and oral).
