Mental Health Worker

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals facing mental health challenges, including those with PTSD, and TBI. House calls and family visit's to create an atmosphere for change.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Monitor patient behavior and report any changes or concerns to the clinical team.
• Provide support in daily living activities and promote independence among patients.
• Engage patients in therapeutic activities to enhance their social skills and emotional well-being.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collect data on patient progress and behavior for ongoing assessments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective behavioral management strategies.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and coping strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience or education in behavioral health, special education, or related fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in helping others improve their mental health.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $16.17 - $18.68 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
